Welcome to the Wyman Park neighborhood! We are excited you are here. Here is some essential info to help you settle in and connect with our vibrant community.

The WPCA

The Wyman Park Community Association (WPCA) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood. We organize events, advocate for residents’ interests, and foster a sense of community.  Regular meetings are held throughout the year.  Our annual events include a neighborhood picnic and a holiday party, as well as volunteer events and meetups. 

Email Group

The Wyman Park Email Group is a good source for recommendations and notifications about local news, meetups, and events.  You can join via groups.io at https://groups.io/g/wymanpark

Useful Offices and City Government Information

City Services: For non-emergency inquiries, call 311 or use the Baltimore 311 website.

Trash & Recycling

  • Trash Collection: Tuesday mornings.  More info available on the city website.
  • Recycling: Thursday mornings.  
  • Sisson Street Sanitation Facility: Accepts normal waste and recycling six days a week and household hazardous waste on limited days.

  • Bike Paths: Explore local bike paths for a leisurely ride.
  • Parks: Wyman Park, Stony Run, Linkwood, Wyman Park Dell, and Druid Hill Parks are nearby.

Neighborhood Highlights

  • Hampden Elementary Middle School Groups: Connect with local organizations like FOH and PTO. Shoutout to our students for their outstanding test scores!
  • Hampden Merchants Association: Check out local shops and restaurants online.
  • Nearby Attractions: Enjoy Hopkins events, the Baltimore Museum of Art, Emmanuel Episcopal $10 concerts, and summer events at the Rotunda.
  • Friends of Stony Run is a great place to learn more and connect with people who care about the park.
  • Weed Warriors meet regularly to combat invasive species in the park.  Reach out for contact info or reach them through their website.
  • A few local residents have regular happy hour meetups the third Thursday of the month at Rocket to Venus.  Check the email group for updates and details.

Special Note for North Wyman Park Residents

If you live in the northern blocks of Wyman Park, you’re also part of the Roland Park Civic League, which means you may owe civic dues to that association.  Check their website for more info: https://rolandpark.org/
